Annietober 365 Foundation + BreadLove Challah Bake
Thursday, January 30, 7:00-8:00 pm
Join us for a virtual challah bake benefitting Annietober 365 Foundation!
Learn to bake fresh challah with made-from-scratch or pre-made dough!
In this interactive class, you will learn to make a classic 3-strand challah, a mini challah roll, and a babka—all from one standard dough! Best of all, you’ll learn how to time things so it works for your schedule. Click here for recipe and instructions; if baking isn’t your thing, try Rhodes frozen pre-made bread dough!
You will need:
Prepared dough (should be enough for 1 large or 2 medium challahs)
Clean, flat surface to roll out dough strands
A little extra flour for dusting your surface
If making babka: rolling pin, filling of choice (Nutella or Trader Joe’s Cookie Butter highly recommended!), offset spatula, standard loaf pan lined with parchment paper or cooking spray
Sheet pan lined with parchment paper or cooking spray
Kitchen towel or plastic wrap to cover your dough while resting
Small bowl for egg wash, pastry brush, desired toppings (sesame seeds, poppy seeds, cinnamon & sugar, or simple syrup for the babka)
Food safe thermometer (not necessary, but helpful!)
We’ll start with a brief introduction, then get our hands right into the dough! Follow along and bake immediately after class; or simply watch, pop your dough in the fridge, and bake the next day.
Cost: $36 per person, all proceeds benefit Annietober 365 Foundation
You will get a Zoom link 48 hours prior to the event; please contact Joanna Wyner, BreadLove owner, with any questions.
